Dr. Ayoob is Associate Clinical Professor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. He also is Director of the Nutrition Clinic at the Rose F. Kennedy Children's Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center at Einstein, where he has maintained a clinical practice specializing in obesity, child nutrition and family dynamics for more than 25 years. He has served as an American Dietetic Association national media spokesperson and authored, The Uncle Sam Diet, the first book about the 2005 Dietary Guidelines for Americans. Dr. Ayoob helped develop a nutrition profiling system and consumer education tool, now known as NuVal, which appears in more than 2,500 supermarkets across the US. In 2006, he helped formulate a highly-regarded global nutrition policy for the Walt Disney Corporation and updated those landmark guidelines in 2011. He Chairs the Scientific Advisory Board for NuVal and sits on several other advisory boards including the Academic Advisory Board of the Children's Advertising Review Unit of the National Advertising Review Council.
