Level 1 Trauma Experience Required
Start Date: 08/17/2026 (flexible start dates available after August)
Contract Length: 13 weeks with extension options
Schedule: Full-time, 4x10s (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, 30-minute lunch)
Providers must be able to work at least 2 weeks per month
Position Details
* Setting: Hospital – Level 1 Trauma Center (Lexington, KY)
* Cases: Ortho, Trauma, Vascular, Neuro (no cardiac, no OB)
* Patient Population: All ages (no neonatal)
* Volume: 1–9 cases per day (varies)
* EMR: Epic preferred
* NORA: Required for all providers
Team Structure
* Collaborative care team model including CRNAs, anesthesiologists, anesthesia techs, and residents
* Medically directed model (typically 2:1 or 3:1 CRNA to anesthesiologist ratio; up to 4:1 for low-acuity cases)
* Teaching environment—attendings often supervise residents alongside CRNAs
Skills Required
* Intubation
* Central and arterial line placement
* General line placement
* Regional blocks not typically required
Requirements
* Certification: NBCRNA (Board Certified)
* License: Active KY license (or willingness to obtain)
* Experience: Minimum 1 year (no new grads)
* Must have recent experience in a large medical center
* Level 1 trauma experience required
Credentialing
* Estimated timeframe: 90 days
