Aya Locums is seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a full‑time locum assignment at a Level I Trauma Center in Kentucky. This role is ideal for CRNAs with recent large medical center experience who are comfortable supporting higher‑acuity cases in a medically directed model.
Assignment Overview:
Start Date: 08/17/2026 (flexible start dates available after August)
Contract Length: 13 weeks with options to extend
Schedule: Full‑time
4 × 10‑hour shifts per week
7:00am–5:30pm (30‑minute lunch)
Coverage Need: Ongoing; approximately 6 months total
Practice Setting & Facility Details:
Hospital‑based practice
Level I Trauma Center
EMR: Epic (preferred)
Patient Population: All age groups (no neonatal cases)
Daily Case Volume: Approximately 1–9 cases per day
Case Mix Includes:
Orthopedics
Trauma
Vascular
Neuro
No cardiac and no OB
All providers must be willing to cover NORA cases
Clinical Model & Support:
CRNAs are medically directed
Typical supervision ratios:
2:1 or 3:1
Up to 4:1 for low‑acuity cases
Support team includes anesthesiologists, CRNAs, anesthesia techs, and residents
Attending anesthesiologists frequently focus on teaching and resident supervision
Required Skills:
Intubation
Central line placement
Arterial line placement
General line placement
Regional blocks unlikely
Requirements:
NBCRNA certification required
Active Kentucky license required (open to licensing candidates)
Minimum 1 year of experience (no new graduates)
Recent experience in a large medical center
Level I trauma experience required
Credentialing:
Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90 days
