POSITION OVERVIEW

A locum tenens opportunity is available for CRNAs in Cumberland, Maryland. This position provides general anesthesia services in a hospital setting with multiple shift options and no required call or expected overtime.


SCHEDULE & HOURS

Regular daytime shifts

8-hour shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

10-hour shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

12-hour shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Providers are expected to work the full scheduled shift, excluding the unpaid lunch break

No in-house call

No weeknight pager call

No weekend pager call

No expected overtime


CASE MIX

General Anesthesia

Pre-anesthesia assessment

Patient consent and anesthesia risk discussion

Induction, maintenance, and emergence

Monitoring of patient physiological condition

Clinical interventions as needed


ANESTHESIA MODEL

9 anesthesia rooms

MD supervision of CRNAs

Approximately 4 CRNAs to 1 MD

MDs do not perform their own cases

Epic EMR


REQUIREMENTS

Current Registered Professional Nurse license

Graduation from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program

Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists

Board certification/certification required

Candidates needing to obtain a Maryland license may be considered

Estimated privileging timeframe: approximately 30 days
