Educational Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in Nursing
Certifications Required:
• CRNAs must have a national certification through the American Association of Nurse Anaesthesiology (AANA).
• ACLS/CPR/BLS certificate by the American Heart Association is required.
License:
Licensed personnel assigned by the Professionals to perform services covered by this contract shall be currently certified or licensed, as appropriate, in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia. All licenses held by the personnel working on this contract shall be fully valid and without restriction. The qualifications of such personnel shall also be subject to review by the VA Chief of Staff and approval by the VA Facility Director. The Government specifically reserves the right to reject and of the Individual’s personnel and refuse them permission to provide services under this contract.
Credentialing and Privileging:
• Credentialing and privileging is to be done in accordance with the provisions of VHA Handbook 1100.19 referenced above. The individual is responsible to ensure that proposed professional staff possesses the requisite credentials enabling the granting of privileges. No services shall be provided by individual staff prior to obtaining approval by the VA.
• If individual personnel are not credentialed and privileged or has credentials/privileges suspended or revoked, the individual shall furnish an acceptable substitute without any additional cost to the government. Professional staff shall not begin work until final a
