This hospital operates an active operating room program across multiple surgical settings, including a main OR with 17 rooms covering EP/Cath Lab, GI, and IR, as well as additional operating suites at affiliated surgery centers and a Labor and Delivery unit. The facility maintains organized perioperative workflows designed to support quality anesthesia care delivery across a broad range of surgical specialties. Locum tenens CRNA coverage is sought on an ongoing basis to address current staffing needs within the Anesthesia Department.

About the clinician's workday

Clinicians in this role will provide anesthesia services under a physician supervision model during day shifts within an operating room and surgery center setting, with call coverage required; in-house OB call is preferred. The surgical case mix includes General Surgery, GYN, Bariatric, Spine, OB, Orthopedic procedures with blocks, and occasional Neuro/Head and Pediatric cases. This is a supervision role with a 1:3 ratio when applicable, covering the main OR - which includes 17 rooms encompassing EP/Cath Lab, GI, and IR - as well as additional rooms at affiliated surgery centers and Labor and Delivery. Charting is primarily on paper, with the exception of pre- and post-op orders, which are entered electronically; cross-credentialing at the surgery center is required, and emergency privileging can be completed within 30 days.
