About the clinician's workday

The schedule offers either four 10hour shifts from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. or five 8hour shifts from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., with call required. Call is beeperbased and typically occurs about once per week, including some weekend days. The anesthesiologist takes first call, while CRNAs serve as backup, with two CRNAs assigned to backup call at a time. The site uses Cerner for documentation and handles a wide range of cases, including general surgery, ENT, orthopedics, vascular, cath lab, urology, OB/GYN, GI, basic pediatrics, and regional anesthesia. The practice follows a careteam supervision model and operates six ORs plus a dedicated urology room, staffed by seven physicians and ten CRNAs
