You'll work a combination of 8- and 10-hour weekday shifts in a medically directed anesthesia practice.
Orthopedics makes up a significant portion of the case mix, so confidence with regional anesthesia and peripheral nerve blocks is important. Other cases include general anesthesia, GI, GYN, ENT, urology, ophthalmology and podiatry.
The anesthesiologist takes first call, with CRNAs participating in backup pager coverage. The facility reports that CRNA callbacks are uncommon.
