Locum CRNA Opportunity – Float Pool - West Columbia, SC
Contract Length: 13 Weeks

We are seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a full-time locum assignment within a hospital-based float pool.
This is a structured, no-call position offering consistent weekly scheduling.

Position Highlights
40-hour work week (Scheduled + No Call)
Shift options: 5x8s, 4x10s, or 3x12s
Must be available to work every week (no part-time availability)
13-week contract

Practice Setting
Hospital Medical Center + Ambulatory Surgery Centers
Rotation to one of three ASCs (Lexington, Irmo, Northeast Columbia area)
Travel to ASC up to once weekly (occasionally twice)
May complete shift at ASC or return to main hospital if cases finish early

Clinical Environment
Large anesthesia department: 70 CRNAs + 15 anesthesiologists
Medical Direction Care Team model
Approximately 150 anesthetics daily across:
25 active ORs (31 total)
9 non-OR anesthesia sites (IR, Cath Lab, EP, OB, MRI, Endoscopy)
3 Ambulatory Surgery Centers
Adult & geriatric population (travelers not assigned pediatric cases)
Case mix: General surgery, GYN, Orthopedics, Urology, Vascular
No regional/block skills required
EMR: Epic (highly preferred)
Equipment: Glidescopes, Alaris IV pumps, Draeger anesthesia machines
Anesthesia tech support available

Requirements
NBCRNA Board Certification
Active South Carolina license or Compact license (willing to license)
Minimum 2–3 years of experience

• Full-Time, No Call Assignment – 13-week CRNA locum role, 40 hours per week with flexible shift options (5x8s, 4x10s, or 3x12s); must work every week.
• High-Volume, Team-Based Practice – Care team model with anesthesiologists; 150+ anesthetics daily across ORs, non-OR sites, and ambulatory surgery centers.
• Hospital & ASC Rotation – Float pool position with rotation to surgery centers; adult-focused cases, Epic EMR, no regional/block skills required.
