Anesthesiology
Job ID: 3273331
We are seeking a CRNA for a locum tenens assignment beginning July 20, 2026, at a large medical center in South Carolina. This is a 13-week contract with a preference for providers interested in extending to six months. The facility is looking for full-time coverage only and will not consider part-time availability.
The schedule offers flexibility with 5x8s, 4x10s, or 3x12s, based on provider preference, but candidates must be available to work every week of the month for a full 40-hour workweek. Shifts are primarily daytime hours with no call responsibilities.
This position includes a mix of hospital and ambulatory surgery center coverage. Providers will rotate to one of several affiliated surgery centers in the surrounding area, typically once per week and occasionally twice. Depending on case completion times, providers may finish their day at the surgery center or return to the main hospital to complete their shift.
The practice operates within a large, team-based anesthesia department consisting of approximately 70 CRNAs and 15 anesthesiologists under a medical direction model. The facility is a Level III trauma center with a high-volume surgical environment, managing around 150 anesthetic cases daily across the main OR, ambulatory surgery centers, and non-OR anesthesia sites such as interventional radiology, cath lab, EP, MRI, and endoscopy. The case mix includes general surgery, GYN, orthopedics, urology, and vascular procedures, with a primarily adult and geriatric patient population.
The facility is well-equipped with modern anesthesia technology including Glidescopes, Alaris IV pumps, and Draeger anesthesia machines, and utilizes Epic for charting. No regional anesthesia or block skills are required for this role.
Candidates must be board certified and willing to work within a collaborative, high-volume environment. This opportunity is ideal for CRNAs seeking consistent hours, diverse case exposure, and the stability of a large, well-supported medical system.
