Anesthesiology
Start Date: ASAP (January 5th preferred; later starts considered)
Contract Length: 1 year (through the end of 2026)
Coverage Model: Float coverage across 3 locations if needed (not required)
Shifts Available: 8s, 10s, or 12s
Availability Requirements:
Minimum of 1 shift per week
Open to full-time, part-time, and 1–2 weeks per month
Local candidates welcome
Must be open to call: Max 1–2 call shifts per month (most months may have no call)
All call is beeper call (additional details pending)
Work Environment:
Fast-paced Level 1 trauma environment
Coverage across:
1 Level 1 Trauma Center
2 Community Hospitals
Large established anesthesia team with 30+ anesthesiologists and 70+ CRNAs
100% supervised care team model (1:4)
Daily patient volume varies by location
Approximate hospital size: 700 beds
Case Mix:
Large Vascular
Neuro
High-risk OB/GYN
Orthopedics
General Surgery
Thoracic
Pediatrics and cardiac cases are not required for locums
Procedures & Skills:
CRNAs administer their own medications
Place:
Epidurals
Spinals
Arterial lines
Some OB and trauma (primarily outpatient)
May place arterial and lumbar epidural catheters
No regional blocks (no brachial plexus or other regional anesthesia)
Requirements:
Some Level 1 trauma experience required
Open to candidates in the licensing process
VA or compact license preferred
DEA not required
EMR: Cerner
COVID vaccine not required, but exemption form must be on file
Any CV gap over 30 days must include a written explanation
Credentialing & Interview Process:
Standard credentialing: 90–120 days
Emergency credentialing: 30–45 days (possible)
