Assignment Overview

Specialty: CRNA
Start Date: April 6, 2026
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Credentialing Timeframe: Minimum 30 days

Schedule & Shifts: Requires weekly availability (prefer no rotation of weeks on/off)

Primary Schedule:
(4) 10-hour shifts per week
Alternatively: (3) 12-hour shifts
Hours: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
Weekends: Rotating Saturdays & Sundays preferred

Time Off: All requests must be submitted upfront

Work Details
Practice Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient
Patient Population: Ages 13 through end of life
Facility: Level I Trauma Center
33 main ORs
16 offsite anesthesia locations
12 outpatient surgery ORs
3–4 standalone GI center rooms

Staffing Model:
~60 CRNAs
~70 Attending Anesthesiologists
~60 Anesthesia Residents

EMR: Epic

Clinical Scope
Skills Required: Full CRNA scope of practice

Excluded Cases:

Open heart / thoracic

Pediatrics

Obstetrics

Peripheral nerve blocks

Requirements
Board Certification: Required
License: Virginia
DEA: Not required
Certifications: ACLS & BLS (must be AHA-completed and current)
Vaccinations: COVID & Flu vaccines required (no exemptions)

Experience:
Minimum 2 years required
Prefer academic background and Level I or II trauma experience
Outpatient-only candidates considered, but recent inpatient experience preferred
Strong preference for experience with ASA 3+ patients

Additional Notes
No local candidates (must live 50+ miles from the facility)
Must disclose any prior affiliation with UVA (worked, trained, or attended school)
