CRNA Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at Level I Trauma Center in Charlottesville, Virginia

Job description

A large academic medical center in Charlottesville, Virginia is seeking a CRNA for locum tenens coverage.

Assignment Details:

Start Date: June 1, 2026
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule: 4x10s per week (flexibility for 3x12s)
Weekend Coverage: Saturdays and Sundays preferred
Time Off: All requests must be submitted upfront

Practice Setting:

Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient
Facility Type: Level I Trauma Center
Hospital Size: 600 beds
EMR: Epic

Department Overview:

Collaborative anesthesia team including:
60 CRNAs
70 attending anesthesiologists
60 anesthesia residents
Coverage includes:
33 main ORs
16 offsite anesthesia locations
12 outpatient surgery ORs
3–4 GI center rooms

Case Mix & Skills:

Patient Population: Ages 13 through end of life
Required Skills: Full scope of CRNA practice
Exclusions:
No open heart/thoracic cases
No pediatrics
No obstetrics
No peripheral nerve blocks

Requirements:

Board Certification: Required
License: Active Virginia license required
Experience: Minimum 2 years (prefer academic and Level I or II trauma experience)

Certifications:
ACLS & BLS (must be AHA-issued and current)
Local Candidates: Not accepted (must reside 50+ miles from facility)

Credentialing Timeframe:

Approximately 30 days minimum
