Locum CRNA Opportunity – Charlottesville, VA

Start Date: January 25, 2027 | 13-Week Assignment | Level I Trauma Center

Aya Locums is seeking an experienced CRNA for a 13-week assignment at a busy Level I Trauma Center in Charlottesville, Virginia. This opportunity offers a diverse clinical environment, a large academic anesthesia team, and exposure to a broad range of inpatient and outpatient cases.

Position Highlights
• Location: Charlottesville, VA
• Specialty: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
• Start Date: January 25, 2027
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Four shifts per week, primarily 10-hour shifts; 12-hour shifts may also be available
• Availability: Consistent weekly availability required
• Weekends: Weekend availability is a plus
• Setting: Inpatient and outpatient
• EMR: Epic
• Hospital Size: Approximately 600 beds

Case Mix & Responsibilities
• Broad anesthesia practice across inpatient and outpatient settings
• General anesthesia and a variety of surgical and procedural cases
• Must be comfortable practicing across the full CRNA scope of practice
Excluded cases: Open-heart/thoracic, pediatric, and obstetric cases. CRNAs will not be required to perform peripheral nerve blocks.

Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years of CRNA experience
• At least 1 year of experience at an academic medical center or Level I trauma center
• Board certification required
• Active Virginia license required
• Recent inpatient experience preferred
• Experience regularly caring for ASA III+ patients preferred
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required; exemptions will not be approved
• DEA registration not required
Credentialing: Minimum of 30 days
