A community hospital in Princeton, West Virginia is seeking a CRNA for locum tenens coverage. This facility is evolving into a regional hub with a growing case mix and strong team environment.
Assignment Details:
Schedule:
Standard shifts: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Call: 3:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Weekend Call: 24-hour call coverage
Call Structure: 1 MD + 1 CRNA on call (beeper call, not in-house)

OR Capacity: 8 ORs + 2 Endoscopy suites

Care Model: Supervision (1:4 MD-to-CRNA ratio)
Team Size: 16 FTE anesthesia program
Case Mix & Responsibilities:
General Cases: General Surgery, Endo, OB, GYN, Podiatry, Urology, ENT, Orthopedics (including totals)
Pediatrics:
Primarily healthy patients (9 months–19 years)
Common cases include T&As, BMTs, frenectomies
Occasional infant cases (as young as 4–5 months)
Increasing involvement in neonatal/pediatric airway emergencies outside the OR
OB:
MDs currently perform epidurals (transitioning to CRNAs)
CRNAs who are comfortable with epidurals are highly preferred
Case Restrictions:
No cardiac cases
No neurosurgical/head cases
Regional/spinal blocks not required (but a plus)
Skills & Experience:
Comfortable with a broad range of general anesthesia cases
Pediatric experience required (healthy peds)
OB experience strongly preferred
Must be prepared to discuss experience with epidurals and spinals, including recent case volume and comfort level
Additional Notes:
Physicians currently perform labor epidurals, but the program is transitioning to CRNA coverage
CRNAs are welcome whether or not they perform regional anesthesia, though those with OB/epidural skills are highly valued
Facility is seeing increased acuity and volume, functioning more like a regional referral center
