Job description

Start Date: 01/01/2024
Contract Length: Ongoing until they hire perms
Shift Details: 7am - 4:30pm (will ask they arrive at approx. 6:30am to prepare for a 7am start)
Schedule: Monday – Friday with two nights of weeknight call and weekend call rotation of every other week (may move to every third week once more locums are confirmed)

Work Details:
· Support staff: 9 other Anes MD’s, CRNA’s and Anesthesia techs
· Amount of coverage needed per month: 2 FTE’s
· Patients per day: depending on what unit they are covering - GI Lab Inpatient and Outpatient (20-30 patients), Surgery (25-30 patients), Interventional Procedure Lab (cath, IR, EP and Neuro) (3-7patients)
· Patient population/age: Varies – they do not have a pediatric unit but may have a rare case that comes through
• Department description: Acuity of patients/ASA level – ASA II and III primarily, Trauma level 3, and they do have a Certified Stroke Center – 8-11 OR rooms daily for 7-8 blocks, depending on the types of surgery blocks scheduled and procedure volume. The Outpatient GI Center has two procedure rooms, and the Inpatient GI area runs 2 procedure rooms. Interventional procedure lab has a total of (4) labs. All the labs have the ability to perform heart caths, but they also perform EP procedures, IR, and neuro interventional procedures in those labs.

No Call Coverage for CRNA’s. Directed Model.

· EMR: EPIC (Experience preferred)
· Hospital bed size: 228
· Special procedures: Neuro, General, Plastics, Pulmonary, Spine, Ortho, OB/GYN, Urology, IR, GI, EP, Cath Lab

· Board Certification: Required
· License required: Open to licensing
· DEA: Required


Credentialing Timeframe: 30 – 60 days
