Emergency Medicine NP/PA Needed in Saint Louis, MO:

Schedule
12-hour shifts
No call
Shift availability varies month to month
October and November schedules will be released in August/September, with additional shifts offered as coverage needs arise
Typical shift times:
Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 AM–9:00 PM
Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–8:00 PM or 10:00 AM–10:00 PM
Practice Details
Level I Trauma Center at a busy academic medical center
Approximately 50,000 annual ED visits
Adult patient population
Work alongside emergency physicians, APPs, nursing staff, and ancillary teams
Focus on Medical Screening Exams (MSEs), triage, and moderate-acuity (ESI Level 3) emergency patients
Epic EMR
Responsibilities
Independently perform Medical Screening Exams (MSEs)
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage ESI Level 3 and lower-acuity patients
Order and interpret labs and imaging
Develop treatment plans and determine patient disposition
Recognize patient deterioration and escalate care appropriately
Perform:
Simple laceration repairs
Incision & drainage of uncomplicated abscesses
Foreign body removal
Splinting and immobilization
Wound management
Requirements
NP or PA
Board Certified
Active state license (licensing assistance available)
2+ years of Emergency Medicine experience
Level I Trauma Center experience required
Epic experience required
BLS, ACLS, and ATLS required
Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and teamwork skills
Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced Emergency Department

Credentialing: Temporary privileges may be available for providers with a clean background
