Job description

We are seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to support Emergency Department coverage across two sites in Pennsylvania. This part-time locum role provides steady monthly shifts and a collaborative ED environment.
Position Overview
• Start Date: March 2, 2026
• Schedule: 7a–7p, 12p–12a, 7p–7a
• Monthly Shifts: 6–12
• Patient Focus: Lower-acuity ED patients
• EMR: Cerner
Requirements
• PAs only (NPs not accepted)
• Active PA license
• Board Certified; 2+ years ED experience
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, Stroke Certification (AHA/Red Cross)
• NIHSS annually; EMTALA training required
• Must be local enough to drive in
• No DEA or ATLS required
Role Responsibilities
• Evaluate and treat ED patients (primarily lower acuity)
• Perform minor procedures: laceration repair, I&Ds
• Assist with triage/tech duties as needed
• Administrative follow-up (radiology/lab reviews)
Travel
Mileage, lodging, and ground transport approved for local providers.

A reliable, team-oriented PA with strong ED experience who can confidently manage a mixed patient population, support summer staffing needs, and maintain flexibility across days, evenings, and nights.
