Emergency Medicine
Job ID: ORD-215077-PA-WA
This 336-bed teaching hospital has been in operation since 1920 and functions as the flagship facility of a major regional health system. The facility maintains research and training programs and operates established protocols to support quality emergency care delivery across all clinical settings.
Washington State offers a range of attractions for clinicians on assignment in the region. Points of interest include the iconic Space Needle, standing 605 feet above downtown Seattle, and the natural landscapes of Mt. Rainier National Park, which features glaciers, waterfalls, and alpine meadows. The area also provides access to whale and orca boat tours near Anacortes, as well as a Boeing Factory Tour for those seeking additional recreational activities during time away from clinical duties.
The Physician Associate will provide high-quality emergency medical care during night shifts, including evaluation, treatment, and disposition of patients presenting to the emergency department. The clinician will work collaboratively with attending physicians to manage a broad spectrum of emergency conditions, with a caseload of 8-14 patients per day. Effective patient handoffs and clear communication with consultants, hospitalists, and other care teams are required for this assignment. No call responsibilities are required outside of scheduled night shifts.
Our services are 100% free for clinicians and are designed for a seamless experience with every assignment:
