Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner (NP) Position: 7 days on/7 days off block schedule in Anchorage AK, 10-hour shifts, full-time with benefits. Responsibilities include conducting initial medical admission evaluations and history & physicals (H&Ps) within 24 hours for patients aged 5 and older, as well as follow-ups, diagnostics, and discharge planning.
The role involves performing thorough medical assessments, collaborating with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and other support staff to develop integrated treatment plans that address both medical and mental health needs. The NP will co-manage patients with complex medical conditions in conjunction with mental health professionals, educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and healthy lifestyle choices, and provide medical consultations, including recommending diagnostic tests and treatments when appropriate.
