Call Center FNP needed M-F 8 to 5 onsite to work at a full service primary health care center within the San Antonio, TX area. Competitive salary with full benefit package. NO WEEKENDS!!! This is an on-site position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures call center staff operates regarding published clinical guidelines. Ensures adherence to existing Policies and Procedures to facilitate seamless patient care. Serves as liaison to physicians and other departments on issues such as referrals and walk-ins. A key role of this clinician is to triage, and address patients concerns that avoid unnecessary Emergency Room visits and to facilitate seamless patient resolution for valid patient concerns. 2. Triages, diagnose, treats and/or refers patients assigned on an out-patient or telemedicine basis. Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions consulting with supervising physician as needed.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s Degree from an accredited university in a Nurse Practitioner Program
Previous experience as Family Nurse Practitioner highly preferred
Must have current unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner from the Texas Board of Nursing
Annual continuing medical education as required by board specialty
Must be registered and have current DEA
Experience with Telemedicine highly preferred
Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred
Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), American Heart Association
