The clinician will provide comprehensive family medicine services in a correctional facility setting, managing 18-20 adult patients daily Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with potential for four 10-hour shifts. Clinical responsibilities include conducting thorough patient evaluations, managing chronic medical conditions, providing preventive healthcare services, and treating acute illnesses while maintaining accurate documentation in the Naphcare EMR system. The position requires Virginia licensure and DEA registration for autonomous practice with no call requirements, collaborating with registered nurses and licensed practical nurses to ensure optimal patient outcomes within the correctional healthcare delivery framework.
