The facility operates as a state hospital delivering clinic-based primary care services to an adult psychiatric patient population within a structured clinical environment. The facility maintains established clinical protocols and on-site infrastructure to support consistent care delivery across assigned coverage periods. On-site support staff includes a full triage team, psychiatric clinicians, and other primary care MDs and NPs to facilitate integrated, multidisciplinary care.
The surrounding region offers access to a range of outdoor, cultural, and recreational activities suited to varied interests. Outdoor enthusiasts will find opportunities for water recreation, biking on established trail systems, and visits to local natural areas. The area also features dining, shopping, and cultural venues, as well as proximity to mountain landscapes and national park lands, with local outfitters and organized groups available to support participation in many of these activities.
Clinicians will provide clinic-based primary care services to an adult psychiatric patient population at an on-site state hospital facility, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with no call requirements. The expected caseload is 15-20 patients per day, with clinical responsibilities encompassing the evaluation and management of primary care conditions within a structured psychiatric setting. On-site support includes a full triage staff, psychiatric clinicians, and other primary care MDs and NPs to facilitate coordinated, multidisciplinary care delivery. Board certification, a Virginia DNP license, DEA registration, and prescriptive authority are required for this assignment, with a credentialing timeframe of approximately 2-3 weeks.
