This Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) delivers comprehensive outpatient ambulatory primary care services to patients of all ages in Washington, with a focus on serving marginalized and vulnerable community populations. The facility maintains on-site support staff, including a dedicated medical assistant per clinician, additional medical assistants, and dietitians, to support daily clinical operations. Credentialing for this position is estimated at 2 to 4 weeks.

Seattle, known as the Emerald City, offers a range of outdoor and cultural activities, including visits to Pike Place Market, the Space Needle, and local parks with notable city views. The area provides access to ferry rides, float plane excursions, and scenic mountain destinations, along with food tours and historical experiences such as the Underground Tour in Pioneer Square. Clinicians on assignment may also explore nearby state parks and take part in community events, including outdoor concerts and street fairs held across the region.

About the clinician's workday

Clinicians will provide outpatient ambulatory primary care services to patients of all ages at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Washington, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break; four 10-hour shifts are not available, though part-time candidates will be considered. The expected caseload is approximately 18 patients per day, encompassing walk-in and acute care services as well as chronic disease management across all age groups. A minimum of 2 years of family medicine experience is required, with demonstrated experience serving marginalized and vulnerable populations in an ambulatory setting; this is an outpatient ambulatory role and not a hospital-based position. Prescriptive authority is required, board certification is negotiable, and COVID vaccination is required with consideration for legitimate exemptions; no call coverage is required for this position.
