Temperatures during warmer months range from the mid-40s to mid-60s Fahrenheit, creating comfortable conditions for exploring the outdoor environment and participating in seasonal activities.
The nurse practitioner will provide comprehensive primary care services to adults aged 17 and older, seeing 5-8 patients per day during flexible 16-hour weekly schedules. The role requires independent practice capabilities with particular emphasis on prescribing for depression and anxiety disorders. Experience working with diverse populations, especially Alaska Native communities, is preferred along with cultural competency in serving multicultural patient demographics.
