Nurse Practitioner – Outpatient Primary Care
Location: San Francisco, CA
Start Date: 5/11/2026
Contract Length: 4 months with option to extend
Schedule

Monday–Friday
8‑hour day shifts (8:00 AM–5:00 PM)
No weekends
No call
Full‑time schedule

Practice Details

Outpatient primary care setting
Full‑scope family medicine
Patient volume: typically up to 14 patients/day
All‑ages population: infants through geriatrics; high volume of newborns and young children
Support staff: MAs, LVNs
Integrated services available onsite (behavioral health, therapy, dermatology)
Referral process in place for embedded services
EMR: Epic

Clinical Scope

General family medicine for all age groups
Acute visits, chronic disease management, preventive care, wellness visits
Standard family medicine procedures (“bread‑and‑butter” primary care)
Document and manage patient flow efficiently in Epic

Requirements

Nurse Practitioner — Family Practice
Active California NP license required
Furnishing license required
DEA (Schedule II/II‑N) required
AHA BLS required
Minimum 2 years NP experience in Family Medicine or Primary Care; must have experience with all ages
Spanish, Chinese, or Russian language skills highly preferred
Accepted NP boards: A-GNP-C, ANP-C, FNP-C, GNP-C, AGPCNP‑BC, ANP‑BC, FNP‑BC, GNP‑BC, ACNP‑BC, AGACNP‑BC, ACNPC‑AG, ACNPC
PAs not considered unless holding a master’s degree in PA studies

Credentialing

Estimated 60–90 days
Provider must submit DOB, SSN, license details, and signed forms within 72 hours of offer
