Family Nurse Practitioner – Locum Tenens – Kings County / Hanford, CA

Seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner for a full-time, local locum tenens opportunity serving patients in Kings County / Hanford, CA. The role focuses on patient health assessments, including annual health and risk assessments and chronic-condition reviews. Providers may evaluate patients, document health conditions and risk factors, and escalate concerning findings as appropriate. Approximately 95% of visits are in person and 5% are virtual. This is a local opportunity, not a travel assignment; providers should live locally, ideally within approximately 30 miles of the service area. No flights, hotels, or travel lodging are provided. Target start is February 2027 to allow approximately 90 days for payer credentialing. The contract is approximately 3 months with the option to extend. The program schedules seven days per week, so availability may include weekdays and weekends. New graduate FNPs may be considered. Compensation is $80/hour for new graduates without experience and $85/hour for experienced providers. Requirements: Family Nurse Practitioner only; active California NP license; enrollment/credentialing with California Medi-Cal and ability to provide a California Medi-Cal provider number during submission; comfort working independently and conducting in-person assessments.
