Opportunity:
Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine
Job Details:
• Perform Compensation and Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans
• Opportunity to work at provider's own office in Colby, KS (within 50-mile radius) for 4 days per week
• Option for half-day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) shifts
• One-time non-treatment Compensation and Pension exams
• Interview-based exams with physical assessments including range of motion testing and muscle strength testing
• No prescribing or treatment involved
• Requires proficiency in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions
• Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products)
• AANP certification required
• Active and unrestricted full license in Kansas required
• Must be willing to complete DMA training to become DMA certified
• Follow-up administrative work required on a regular basis (addendums, medical opinions, reading diagnostics)
• Quick credentialing and onboarding process
• Suitable for providers with backgrounds in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, general medicine, or experience with compensation and pension
• Local candidates only, travel included in rates
• Opportunity to work weekends if desired (not required)
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
