The nurse practitioner will provide comprehensive family medicine services in a correctional facility setting, managing 18-20 adult patients daily Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with potential for four 10-hour shifts and no call requirements. Clinical responsibilities include conducting thorough patient evaluations, managing chronic medical conditions, providing preventive healthcare services, and treating acute illnesses while maintaining accurate documentation. The position requires Virginia licensure and DEA registration for autonomous practice, working collaboratively with registered nurses and licensed practical nurses to ensure optimal patient outcomes within the correctional healthcare delivery framework.
