About the clinician's workday

This outpatient Occupational Medicine clinic in Fairbanks, Alaska is seeking an MD or APP (NP/PA) for a locums assignment starting ASAP through March 31, 2026, with an initial twomonth commitment and options to extend. The role is Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, with no call and an average patient volume of 20-25 patients per day, consisting of approximately 90% occupational medicine and 10% urgent care. Providers will treat scheduled and walkin workrelated injuries, perform DOT, preplacement, public safety, and surveillance physicals, evaluate urgent care patients, complete inoffice procedures such as suturing, and communicate with employers regarding care plans. Credentialing is 30 days or less, DOT certification is required prior to the first shift, and documentation is completed in AllScripts. Concentra provides a oneweek orientation alongside a permanent physician and typically assigns providers to the same location for threemonth stretches to maintain continuity of care.
