Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a nonprofit organization operating a network of federally qualified health centers committed to ensuring access to quality healthcare for all.

The LPN will work as an integral member of a multidisciplinary care team and provide safe, high-quality patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Qualifications
✅ Education: Certificate of completion from an accredited practical nursing course of study
✅ Licensure: Current New York State LPN license and registration
✅ Certifications: Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support), Infection Control Certificate, and Child Abuse Certificate
✅ Experience: 1–2 years of experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting preferred
✅ Clinical Skills: Demonstrated competency in patient treatments, procedures, medication administration, and clinical care
✅ Technical Skills: Ability to perform venipuncture, phlebotomy, EKGs, IV insertion, and Foley catheter insertion/removal
✅ Computer Skills: Basic computer and typing skills
✅ Communication: Strong clinical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
✅ Teamwork: Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary care team
✅ Organization: Ability to organize the care and activities of multiple patients
✅ Language: Bilingual Spanish is preferred
Key Responsibilities
The Licensed Practical Nurse will provide safe and quality patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse while collaborating with members of the designated care team.
Responsibilities include:
Performing treatments and clinical procedures in accordance with established standards and policies
Assisting patients with respiratory needs, including aerosol and inhalation treatments
Encouraging coughing, deep breathing, and appropriate respiratory exercises
Performing oral and endotracheal suctioning
Performing therapeutic procedures and treatments
Inserting and removing Foley catheters
Performing EKGs and obtaining accurate results
Inserting IVs and maintaining IV lines
Assisting patients with therapeutic equipment, including incentive spirometers and hot/cold packs
Preparing patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments
Preparing and administering medications as permitted by New York State law and organizational policies
Monitoring patients for medication responses and adverse effects
Demonstrating knowledge of medication actions, dosages, indications, and potential side effects
