Qualifications
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
Licensure: Active and current Ohio license to practice as a Dental Hygienist
Experience: Previous dental hygiene experience preferred but not required; new graduates are welcome
Technical Skills: Familiarity with digital charting and dental software required; experience with EPIC and Dentrix EMR is a plus
Professional Skills: Compassionate patient care, excellent communication, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary dental team
Key Responsibilities
The Dental Hygienist will be responsible for providing comprehensive preventive and periodontal dental hygiene services, including:
Performing dental prophylaxis and periodontal therapy
Conducting oral health assessments and screenings
Taking and developing dental radiographs (X-rays)
Providing patients with education and guidance on proper oral hygiene techniques
Maintaining accurate and timely patient records using digital charting systems
Following infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols
Collaborating closely with dentists, dental assistants, and other healthcare professionals
Supporting the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered dental care
