This position requires a strong foundation in patient care, anatomy knowledge, and the ability to work in various healthcare settings.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Assist in patient assessments and provide care based on individualized treatment plans
- Monitor and record patient vital signs accurately
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and their families on health management and preventive care measures
- Perform routine procedures such as wound care, injections, and catheterizations
- Utilize electronic health record systems like Cerner for documentation purposes
- Provide support in family planning services and behavioral health interventions
- Participate in home care visits and assist with patient transitions between care settings
- Possess the flexibility to engage in travel nursing assignments if required
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred
- Proficiency in conducting diagnostic evaluations and interpreting results
- Familiarity with spinal tap procedures and other specialized tests
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Ability to deliver compassionate care while maintaining professionalism
- Experience in home care or long-term care settings is advantageous
- Knowledge of best practices in infection control and patient safety protocols
