This urgent care network operates multiple convenient locations across eastern and coastal North Carolina, including sites in Morehead City, Wilmington, Leland, and Kinston. The facilities are well-staffed with center managers, medical assistants, patient service associates, and offsite supervising physicians to support locum providers, fostering a collaborative and community-focused environment dedicated to delivering high-quality healthcare.

Opportunity:
Board Certified - Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner) - Urgent Care

Job Details:

  • Provider must be local and already reside in the immediate area - travel and lodging reimbursement are not provided (limited mileage only, up to 60 miles total roundtrip)
  • Primary location is Morehead City with potential coverage at Wilmington, Leland, and Kinston locations
  • Must have experience treating both adult and pediatric patients (ages 6 months and older)
  • Minimum of 12 months of clinical experience required - new graduates will not be considered
  • Must be capable of functioning as the sole provider in the center while maintaining high-quality patient care
  • Strong interpersonal and soft skills required due to one-on-one interaction with support staff and patients
  • Must have an active NC license and an active NC DEA
  • Board certification required (NCCPA for PAs / NP Boards for NPs); BLS certification required
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR required; modified training will be provided
  • Up to 60 patients per day depending on site (average of approximately 40 patients per day)
  • Procedures include incision and drainage (I&D), laceration repair, ear irrigation, and other minor procedures
  • No call requirements; supervising physician provided offsite for locum APPs
  • Credentialing is handled by the agency; facility will process Medicare enrollment only
  • Providers must pass a clinical screening/interview prior to scheduling
  • EMR onboarding and training is mandatory and occurs on set Wednesdays - providers must be available to participate
  • Estimated credentialing timeframe is approximately 20 days
  • Active NC license required - providers licensed in NC only will be considered

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
