Assignment Details
Start Date: ASAP (credentialing 2–3 months)
Contract Length: 12 weeks, with option to extend
Coverage Type: Scheduled, rotating weekends
Shifts: 3x12-hour shifts per week
Clinic open 7 days a week with two shift options:
7:30a–8:00p
10:00a–10:30p
Provider will rotate between these schedules
Practice Setting: Outpatient, Rural Health Clinic
Support Staff: MAs, registration clerks, referral staff
EMR: Epic
Patient Age Group: Infants through age 21
Avg. Daily Census: Pediatric providers ~30–35/day (clinic overall 150–200/day)
Rooms: Pediatric providers typically have 2–3 rooms per day
Procedures: Cryo-freeze for warts (ear lavages performed by MAs)
Responsibilities
Provide full-spectrum pediatric care (infant through adolescent/young adult, up to age 21)
Perform newborn checks (including jaundice), physicals, immunizations, and referrals
Conduct school physicals and assist with CBI physicals
Comply with VFC program regulations
Collaborate with on-site support staff to ensure efficient patient flow
Requirements
Board Certification: Required
License: Active CA license (no licensing assistance available)
DEA: Required
CSR: Not required
Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS
Experience: 1–2 years preferred (pediatric experience required)
