Job description

Frederick County Pediatrics (FCP) is a small, independent primary care practice seeking a CPNP who would like to work in a practice that prioritizes engagement, collaboration and quality care. We are a 4 provider (1 MD and 3 CPNP) practice that is intentionally sized to maintain patient & family relationships and a sense of community. We are seeking a locum tenens to cover one provider's maternity leave, as well as another provider out for unexpected medical leave.

We participate actively with our affiliated CNMC PHN program that supports our QI initiatives and pay-for-performance insurance contracts. Team based care and peer collaboration is emphasized, including morning huddles and weekly provider meetings and 1 on 1 mentoring support. We enjoy a strong management and nurse coordination team and excellent support staff. Our patient population is a mix of newborns through adolescence. There is no hospital obligation, weekend, or after hours call responsibility.

The practice is located in New Market, MD, a growing suburban area near Frederick, MD with easy access to the Baltimore/Washington corridors.

Special consideration will be given to experienced Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, with preferably 3+ years experience, though not required.

Our practice is committed to the importance of vaccinations. We do not allow families to join our practice unless they commit to following our vaccine policy. We do not offer altered or "split" schedules. In addition, all staff are required to obtain annual flu vaccine and be fully vaccinated from COVID-19.

  • Short-term part or full-time position (~3 months), with potential for long-term position depending on need
  • 3-4 days/week; 8-10 hr shifts; No after hours call or weekend requirements
  • Primarily need sick visit coverage from birth to 21 years
