Overview
We are currently seeking experienced Pediatric ECMO Specialists (Registered Nurses) to join a nationally recognized pediatric program based in Houston, TX. These are full-time, night shift positions requiring in-person attendance. The ideal candidates will bring advanced clinical knowledge and previous ECMO experience, particularly within pediatric or neonatal intensive care settings.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver care aligned with the unique needs of pediatric patients.
Manage and operate ECMO systems in emergent and planned scenarios.
Coordinate care planning with interdisciplinary teams.
Support patient transitions through discharge and transfer planning.
Uphold clinical standards, safety protocols, and compliance with Texas Board of Nursing guidelines.
Mentor and support less experienced staff while promoting a learning environment.
Participate in simulations and continual skills development.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Active RN license (Texas or compact state)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Minimum of 2 years ECMO Specialist experience
Prior experience in a pediatric or NICU setting
Strong communication and critical thinking skills
