Opportunity:

Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) – Community Behavioral Health Center

Full-time opportunity for a psychiatric nurse practitioner to provide urgent and scheduled mental health and substance use services within a collaborative, community-based behavioral health setting. This role offers the opportunity to deliver comprehensive psychiatric care, coordinate treatment across multiple levels of service, and contribute to innovative approaches in community psychiatry.

Details:

• Provide urgent and scheduled psychiatric services for patients experiencing mental health and substance use concerns.

• Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments and develop individualized biopsychosocial treatment plans.

• Provide psychiatric medication management and ongoing treatment.

• Coordinate care across outpatient, crisis, and community crisis stabilization programs.

• Offer screening and treatment involving medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD) and medications for alcohol use disorder (MAUD).

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, behavioral health professionals, and other care providers.

• Participate in ongoing supervision, mentorship, and professional development.

• Opportunities to teach NP students, medical students, psychiatry residents, and social work interns.

• Opportunities to participate in quality improvement initiatives and practice-based research projects.

Schedule:

• Community Behavioral Health Center hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.; Saturday–Sunday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

• Must be available to work until 8:00 p.m. two days per week.

• May provide daytime and occasional weekend coverage for Community Crisis Stabilization.

Qualifications:

• Current Massachusetts Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) license.

• Current DEA registration and Massachusetts Controlled Substance registration.

• Active PMHNP board certification.

• At least three years of PMHNP experience strongly preferred; exceptional new graduates with strong academic and professional records will also be considered.

• Spanish proficiency strongly preferred.

Compensation:
