BAS Healthcare is assisting with the recruitment of a dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) / Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join a dedicated inpatient geriatric psychiatry program in the Adirondack region of New York. This is an excellent opportunity to provide integrated medical and psychiatric care in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
Opportunity HighlightsFull-time, hospital-employed position
Monday–Friday schedule
Inpatient geriatric psychiatry setting serving adults age 50+
Work closely with psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary care team
Emphasis on integrated medical and behavioral health care
Provide comprehensive medical and psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for geriatric inpatients
Conduct daily rounds and monitor patient progress
Order and interpret diagnostic tests and manage medications
Collaborate with psychiatrists, nursing staff, social workers, and therapists to coordinate care
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and ongoing care needs
Participate in interdisciplinary case reviews and quality improvement initiatives
Licensed Nurse Practitioner in the State of New York
Dual certification required: FNP and PMHNP
Experience in psychiatric and/or geriatric care preferred; strong new graduates considered
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
