Dual-Certified Nurse Practitioner (FNP / PMHNP)

Saranac Lake, New York | Full-Time

BAS Healthcare is assisting with the recruitment of a dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) / Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join a dedicated inpatient geriatric psychiatry program in the Adirondack region of New York. This is an excellent opportunity to provide integrated medical and psychiatric care in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

Opportunity Highlights

• Full-time, hospital-employed position

• Monday–Friday schedule

• Inpatient geriatric psychiatry setting serving adults age 50+

• Work closely with psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary care team

• Emphasis on integrated medical and behavioral health care

Position Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical and psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for geriatric inpatients

• Conduct daily rounds and monitor patient progress

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and manage medications

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nursing staff, social workers, and therapists to coordinate care

• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and ongoing care needs

• Participate in interdisciplinary case reviews and quality improvement initiatives

Candidate Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner in the State of New York

• Dual certification required: FNP and PMHNP

• Experience in psychiatric and/or geriatric care preferred; strong new graduates considered

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
