The psychiatric nurse practitioner will provide comprehensive outpatient psychiatric care for adult patients in a community mental health center. Clinical duties include conducting thorough 45-minute initial psychiatric evaluations and managing 20-minute medication check appointments for patients with depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders. The clinician will work a four-day, ten-hour schedule treating approximately 20-21 patients per day after accounting for no-shows from the 26 scheduled appointments. The position requires maintaining external supervision arrangements, as the PMHNP must have their own supervisor, and involves prescriptive authority for comprehensive medication management in the outpatient setting.
