The psychiatric physician associate will conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients in crisis requiring acute mental health treatment. Clinical duties include providing medication management with initiation and adjustment of psychotropic medications, managing detox protocols for alcohol, opioids, and benzodiazepines, and developing individualized treatment plans. The clinician will work part-time day shifts totaling 24 hours per week, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team including psychiatrists, therapists, nursing staff, and case managers while participating in treatment planning and discharge coordination to ensure timely and accurate clinical documentation for the 18-bed census.
